Privacy Policy
This is a personal academic website. It does not collect personal data of its own. Two third-party services run on the site, described below.
Server logs
The site is served from a third-party host, which may automatically record standard access information (IP address, user agent, request timestamp, referrer) for security and operational purposes. That data is governed by the host’s privacy policy.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate, anonymous information about visits — page views, rough geography, device and browser type, referral source, and similar behavioural signals. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. No data is used for advertising or sold to third parties.
GA4 sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out site-wide by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by enabling Do Not Track or your browser’s tracking-protection features.
Comments
Comments on blog posts are powered by Giscus, which uses GitHub Discussions as the backing store. To post a comment you need a GitHub account and must authorise the Giscus app. Your comment, GitHub username, and avatar are stored as a discussion entry on the public repository associated with this site. The relevant privacy policies are GitHub’s and Giscus’s. You can edit or delete your own comments via GitHub at any time.
Reading posts does not require a GitHub account. The Giscus widget is
loaded from giscus.app and may set cookies for session purposes.
External links
Pages on this site link to third-party services such as GitHub, Google Scholar, and the personal sites of collaborators. Following any external link takes you out of the scope of this policy and into the privacy practices of the destination, which I do not control.
